DEFRA stands for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Government run this is a great resource for finding further information on animal and environmental rules and regulations. VAQAS (the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme) was set up by VisitEngland to give unbiased assessments of visitor attractions by industry professionals. Farmer Palmer’s is assessed annually to ensure quality standards are being met. For visitors, you can be assured of our excellent customer service standards by looking for the VisitEngland Quality Rose Marque which we proudly display at the farm park and on our marketing materials and website. We are super proud of our Netmums awards! We’ve been voted a Netmums favourite in the Outdoor Play and Birthday Party categories in recent years. National Farm Attractions Network, is a countrywide network of over 200 farm members. The NFAN aims to raise the standards of Farm Parks across the UK. Farmer Palmer’s has previously won Farm Attraction of the Year and been runners up. We are actively involved with this great network.
National Farmers Union – The NFU is a countrywide organisation offering support to farms. They have a fantastic interactive children friendly farm club page on their site. The NFU supports FACE – the Farming and Countryside Education charity aiming to educate children and young people about food, farming and the countryside. There is a lot of interesting, farm related information on the NFU website.
Even when it's pouring down, FP is a great place to come. Plenty to do under shelter and who doesn't love to put their wellies on and splash in muddy puddles! And for the mums and dads, the cake is amazing :)Regular visitor
