Primary Times Overall Winner Award 2015
Share

Families across Dorset have been voting in volume over the past couple of months for their favourite local family-friendly places and entertainment in the esteemed Primary Times Star Awards.

Parents of children aged 4 to 11 across Dorset were asked to complete a survey that appeared in this family friendly magazine that is distributed to over 90% of primary schools across Dorset and taken home directly to mum and dad via the children. In addition, many families cast nominations online via the Primary Times website – www.primarytimes.net

Families were asked a series of straight-forward open-ended questions. Suggestive questions and multiple choice answers were deliberately omitted from the survey to test for unprompted responses. The answers were intriguingly revealing and portrayed an honest reflection of where families prefer to spend their leisure time or buy their goods.

Readers were quizzed on their most preferred choice in 9 separate categories. This year, there was a separate category for ‘Overall Winner’, which allowed readers to think about and select their favourite attraction or entertainment which offered them the best overall experience. In the past this award was won by the business that had received the greatest percentage of votes across the different categories.

Collectively, readers voted for Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park as their ‘Overall Winner’ for 2015. This really is a great reward for this all-encompassing attraction that offers great value birthday parties, plentiful indoor and outdoor activities, as well as entertaining, educational shows that clearly accommodate the needs of local families.

Linda Edwards, Publishing Editor at Primary Times Dorset said: “Once again we were delighted with the positive response from our readers and are extremely grateful for their efforts in submitting their questionnaires on time. As always, the results are incredibly thought-provoking and revealing, and offer a glimpse into what is going through the minds of local families. We would like to applaud all the individual winners of each category and congratulate them on their success. This year the ‘Overall Winner’ category was chosen by our readers, and we are thrilled for Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park on winning this particularly significant award. We look forward to seeing what the next twelve months will bring and how the local attractions and venues will evolve and develop.”
