The daily animal timetable has had a makeover

We have worked hard taking care of all the animals during lock-down. The only way we could have animal demos is in a much bigger space. So we’ve temporarily moved animal activities to the old pony ride barn.

The team is now delighted to bring you a revised timetable of events that fits in with social distancing guidelines as well as bringing joy, education, and entertainment to our visitors. This will be available on our What’s On Page.

We will no longer be handing out paper timetables in the shop. A large copy of the timetable will be displayed and you are welcome to photograph it using your smartphone.

Most of the park is open although a few areas have to remain closed for now

The following areas are OPEN (please be aware of any new signage or one-way systems when you visit):

  • Shop (2 Entrances)
  • Straw Mountain (limit to 6 families please)
  • Pedal Tractors
  • Both Toilet Areas & Baby Changing Areas
  • Animal Barn is now the “Grazing Barn” – somewhere to eat takeaway from the Hen House on socially-distanced tables/benches – NO picnics
  • BIG Barn (formerly used for pony rides) will now host the Animal Demonstrations (these will be noncontact and socially distanced but great!)
  • Sand Play and Wendy Houses (1 family per piece of equipment)
  • Splash Zone
  • Pedal Go Karts (Not a free for all as we will need to clean equipment)
  • Hen House (for take away service)
  • Outdoor Animal Pens
  • Trim Trail & Play Field
  • Tractor Ride (additional charge)
  • Woodland Walk (“The World of Dinosaur Roar” is anticipated to open in August 2020)
  • Maize Maze (Open in a One Way Flow)

The following areas will remain closed for now, until we are able to safely re-open them in line with Government guidelines:

  • Milking Demonstration – Hope to socially distance re-open by August
  • Little Farmer’s Barn
  • Both Indoor and Outdoor Bouncy Castles
  • Soft Play

The Take-Away Trend has come to Farmer Palmer’s

One of the biggest changes to the way we ‘normally’ do things is happening in the Hen House.

  • Wash hands before getting food or use sanitiser
  • Follow the NEW one-way system in place

Please enter the Hen House via the main doors at the front of the building. Paying special attention to new signage and floor markings. You can then order your takeaway food and drink (new menu available) at the front counter, where a member of the team will serve you from behind a perspex screen. Please use contactless payment if possible although we will not refuse cash 🙂

Once you receive your food/drink please exit via the side doors facing the tractor ride & duck pond, carefully go down the NEW steps to the lawn areas.

Where can I eat? We have many benches outside, also we have converted the Animal Barn into a NEW undercover grazing barn, and the pedal tractor barn has tables for our food.

PLEASE HELP US by tidying away ALL of your rubbish into the bins provided. There will be an area for trays that will be thoroughly sanitised before being restocked in the Hen House for visitors.

We humbly ask you NOT to bring picnics at this time. It is a long winter ahead and we have so much financial recovery to do to enable us to survive, also to enable us to keep our team working in the Hen House we need your custom. They are already on reduced hours and we need to do everything we can to keep them busy. Thank you so much in advance.

If you require water, please use the outside drinking tap to refill your own water bottles. Unfortunately, we are unable to refill your water containers in the Hen House. Bottled water will still be available for purchase.
